About us
Roger & I (Martin) took over Auckland Mobility Warehouse in September 2007 from Clint Wishart, and the business has so far been an interesting and enjoyable challenge
Our main aim was to purchase a business with a sound base that we could maintain and improve. As our product knowledge has increased this has been possible. We are continuing to expand our distributorship through New Zealand, and always looking for
suitable businesses through which to market our Mobility Scooters outside our Auckland base area.
In February 2008 we moved to better suited premises in New Lynn with our own workshop and office setup. Prior to that, the business shared premises with Auckland rental Cars in Portage Road New Lynn.
I believe it is most important for consumers to buy within an established company brand, where service, good product knowledge and reliability are the standard. We do our very best to satisfy our customers needs in the mobility field.
I have worked in a number of small management rolls previously, lately managing a telemarketing team in Auckland for about three years, and prior to that building a franchise system to raise funds for local hospice throughout New Zealand. I love working with people through our business, and am constantly amazed and humbled by those whom I meet. Helping people realise their goals is so very rewarding.
Roger previously was a production manager in a large packaging/printing company in Auckland, caring for around seventy staff in his role. He was employed by the same company for approximately thirty years! He found the challenge there very rewarding but at times very demanding, so decided to look for a business to work for himself. He has a “think outside the square” attitude, which has been of great use where repair and maintenance of mobility scooters is concerned.
We are both car enthusiasts. I am a member of the New Zealand Morris Minor Club with my 1955 four door called “Gladys”, and Roger has saved hard for years and last year purchased an immaculate Mercedes Benz convertible. We are members of the New Zealand Motor Caravan Association and enjoy the camaraderie of the members, spending many weekends away when possible with friends.
We would love to meet you, so give us a call regarding your requirements and drop in to see us if you can, regards Martin and Roger. |
